School Notes

  • First Baptist School is a Christ-centered school located in the rural town of Caldwell, Texas with a population of 4,315. First Baptist School was established in the fall of 1981 as a Pre-Kindergarten program. The school has experienced tremendous growth over the last 40 years. Kindergarten was added in 1984, and a first grade in 1985. In 1986, a second grade, a Wee 3 class, and another class of Pre-Kindergarten was added. Third, fourth, and fifth grades were added in 1990, 1991, and 1992 respectively. Sixth through eighth grades were added in 2000, 2001, and 2002.
  • Due to generous support and the endowment donations, Phases 1 and 2 of the school building project were completed. In October 2008, First Baptist School moved into the current building. Funds are being donated to allow for completion of Phase 3. First Baptist School does offer its staff : an integrated curriculum that builds from year to year, smaller class ratios, engaged stakeholders that are passionate about children, and learning in a caring, loving, but challenging environment.
  • The past 3 years have been a new journey for First Baptist School as we welcomed a new Administrator, navigated through the Covid pandemic, and the retirement of the First Baptist Church pastor of 26 years. Change has been inevitable, but First Baptist School has stepped up to the challenge. Currently, students are on campus with the ability to go virtual as needed. Even with all the unknowns, First Baptist School continues to embrace each challenge in its quest to academic and spiritual excellence as we seek to train, equip, and educate our students to impact the world for Christ.
