Founded in 1982, Fort Worth Academy is a vibrant and exciting, co-educational, private, independent K-8 day school. FWA is unique in its commitment to young people; and it is this uniqueness that makes me extremely proud to serve as head. Leading-edge, research-based approaches to teaching and learning in combination with a spirit of collaboration, cooperation, and kindness set the school apart. The professional staff is highly dedicated and committed to continuing their own learning. They work in partnership; side-by-side with their students, their students' parents, and each other. The atmosphere is comfortable, yet well-disciplined. Expectations are high, yet risk-taking is encouraged.
