Fort Worth Academy
School Notes Overview:
Founded in 1982, Fort Worth Academy is a vibrant and exciting, co-educational, private, independent K-8 day school. FWA is unique in its commitment to young people; and it is this uniqueness that makes me extremely proud to serve as head. Leading-edge, research-based approaches to teaching and learning in combination with a spirit of collaboration, cooperation, and kindness set the school apart. The professional staff is highly dedicated and committed to continuing their own learning. They work in partnership; side-by-side with their students, their students' parents, and each other. The atmosphere is comfortable, yet well-disciplined. Expectations are high, yet risk-taking is encouraged. The school is small, and classes are small, yet relationships are strong and the community spirit is without equal. We are always looking ahead, yet the traditions of the past keep us solidly grounded. Fort Worth Academy educates motivated, capable children from kindergarten through eighth grade in a collaborative environment of academic challenge and individual attention so students prosper as learners and citizens....
