School Notes Overview:

The Lycee International of Los Angeles (LILA) - also known as The French American Schools of Southern California (lycee francais, ecole francaise) - offers programs beginning with pre-school and leading to an American high school diploma, a French Baccalaureat and/or an International Baccalaureate. We believe in a humanistic approach to education, based on knowledge, skill, and reason across many fields. We attempt to provide our students with a joy in learning that will carry through their entire lives. Our curriculum is based on a combination of the rigor of the French educational system and the American value on individualism. From our beginnings we have dedicated ourselves to preparing students to enter a larger world as educated and responsible adults. Our purposes are to inculcate a perspective that extends beyond the borders of the student's own country and culture, to create open and orderly minds in a secular and humanistic environment, to graduate students who can achieve acceptance and success both in Europe and the United States." 4 locations: Los Feliz, Pasadena, Orange (Santa Ana), West Valley (Tarzana) ...read more
