- We provide an enriched Montessori environment in beautiful surroundings. Barker Creek Montessori is located on a salmon creek and we use the salmon life cycle to teach children about caring for the creek, the earth and all of its inhabitants.
- We teach respect for all cultures with a variety of stories and activities. Our children are accustomed to celebrating diversity as well as sameness. They can often be found dancing a European circle dance, eating sushi or wearing African Kufi hats.
- Sign language is an extra area of study that we provide. The children are in a "sensitive period" for second language studies and can quickly assimilate this useful language.
