Cascadia School

Our daughter is finishing her second year at Cascadia School. She thrives in the Montessori environment that meets and supports children wherever they are in their learning process. The mixed-age classes have allowed her to have empathy and gain leadership skills to work with the younger children, as well as having the guidance from the older kids she admires. Cascadia is an amazing community of staff and parents whom I am comfortable reaching out to for outside school activities and resources. The atmosphere is calm and inclusive and well-kept. My daughter also has special tutoring needs for dyslexia and Cascadia has been above and beyond helpful to support her. We have also been blown away by the above-and-beyond COVID protocols, extra staff, technical savvy and flexibility to keep our kids healthy and safe while still being able to attend school in person OR remotely during this pandemic. Truly a special school that is unmatched.

This is truly the best school you can imagine. I have been privileged to be able to have 2 children attend Cascadia Montessori school. In my opinion, this is the best thing I could have given my children. They have had so many very special experiences at this school. Cascadia is an amazingly warm and loving community. A place where all aspects of the child are taken into consideration. 5 stars are not enough!!!!

Fabulous school! I can't say enough good things about Cascadia; I have two kids that LOVE going to school and truly enjoy learning every day! Academics is just one part, it's wonderful to see the way that the whole child is approached. Teachers, assistants, administrators and families make this school to feel like a very caring community, you really feel a connection and not isolated even in the midst of a world pandemic. The way that I've seen my kids grow as a whole person is priceless.

Our son is a second year and we feel so grateful to know he will have this supportive, kind environment that engages his passion and intelligence in all ways. He is encouraged to follow a topic with the sky being the limit and balance his interests within a day and week, so he is well rounded. The quality is the best and our son is happy and learning. Our daughter will start soon and we look forward to that very much.

I do not regret one bit sending my son to Cascadia to continue his Montessori education. At first grade he is well beyond his years with so many academic subjects. Cascadia is excellent at focusing on the child's needs and extremely supportive of social-emotional needs. We had a hard transition to a larger classroom(he came from a class of 5). He has adjusted well and absolutely loves school and his classmates! His guide is absolutely amazing. Cascadia is everything we wanted in a school: community centered, whole child experience, supportive in any and every way, a safe and welcoming place for my child that brings him true happiness, academically challenging and confidence building, great communication about everything, and so much more. I have loved every part of our Cascadia experience, and our journey has only just begun. Truly a diamond in the rough! I`m so glad we found Cascadia!

We came to Cascadia because we believe in the Montessori method and after a horrible kindergarten year at our neighborhood school we knew we wanted to return to Montessori. We expected it to be good, but we have been blown away at what an amazing experience it's been; not just for our oldest daughter, but for our whole family! It's a true community. I've seen the Cascadia community help one another through every day. Problems, personal health crises, and now through a pandemic! It is such a caring and welcoming place that my youngest daughter who started there this year already felt like part of the "Cascadia family" before she ever enrolled. All the guides (teachers) care so much for their students, and this is proven through the time and attention they dedicate to each student. The staff at the school are amazing as well! While I never expected to send my kids to a private school, I believe the entire experience of Cascadia is worth every penny. We feel truly blessed to have found Cascadia.

All I can say is that my child is now in the 7th grade at Cascadia and I am already mourning the day he goes to high school. There are numerous 5 star reviews on this school on other sites. The advantages of the Montessori method are well documented so I won't reiterate the academics or research outcomes here. So why is this school so special and worth the money? Cascadia is a home, a family, and a community for everyone who attends this precious school. It's the type of environment where everyone is included, diversity is honored, and you can feel the joy and spirit of children when you walk in the doors. The middle school teachers are the most amazing teachers I've ever experienced. They know how to build confidence, encourage independence, and prepare them for their years well beyond high school. My daughter has been attending Cascadia for four years now. Every day she is excited to go to school and loves both the teachers and students who attend the school. The learning environment continues to challenge her while mainting her enthusiasm for learning. Montessori teaches to the whole child. If you are looking for a different learning environment for your child, this is definitely it. The freedom they have in the classroom and own choices they get to make throughout the day has empowered my child in a way that will last her a lifetime. Money well spent.

Absolutely a wonderful school. Teachers are top notch, and it's completely organized and well run. My daughter absolutely loves going to school, is challenged, inspired, and has continued with excellent academic growth. Love it and I would highly recommend it!

Hands down, the best school out there. The teachers are amazing and teach to the whole child. The environment is inclusive, warm and joyful. My child is challenged well beyond what he was at public school. He now loves to learn and is advanced academically. The math and the research papers my child works on is beyond anything I could even imagine. My child is inspired every day.
