School Reviews:

  • Recommended April 28,2013 - After other schools and home schooling, we decided that our son needed a different academic environment. . We had spoken with several schools, but none made us feel as welcome as Great Lakes Academy. When we first spoke with the Director, before she even met our son, she seemed to have a real sense of him and what he needed. Great Lakes Academy has been all we had hoped for and more. Our son started attending in 6th grade and he will graduate this year. The academics have been rigorous enough to keep him challenged, but not overwhelmed. He s made wonderful friends that he will keep for a long time. The teachers and students genuinely care about each other. I am continually amazed at how the teachers go above and beyond what is expected to help our son and all the kids at Great Lakes be successful. If you are looking for a school that will support and encourage your child and help them reach their full potential Great Lakes Academy is the school for you! My son loves it here and has since his first day. He will be attending college next year and I know he will be successful because GLA has given him the confidence and academic tools to make that possible!*-Posted by Parent *

If you have children in private school, then you are most likely looking at three months, perhaps even longer, which you must fill with activities of one kind or another during the long summer break.
