The Broach School

75 12th St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 32250
The Broach School was started in 1973 by Dr. Tommie Broach to meet the ever-increasing need for quality individual instruction and to help students who were getting lost in overcrowded classrooms. The foundation for this model was and continues to be the ongoing focus on what is in the best interest of the individual student. Personalized attention helps students to overcome learning difficulties, build confidence and reach new heights in learning. As the years pass, the model continues to evolve, striving to meet whatever academic need comes about. In 2000, ESA acquired this model with two campuses located in the Jacksonville area. Since then, we’ve expanded the Broach Schools in Florida, with plans for more growth in the near future. The Broach School enrolls students year round. Summer school, work study, extended day, and one-to-one programs are available. Students must complete 24 credits in grades 9-12 to graduate. Students may also receive credit for extracurricular actives in their communities. Each Broach School is either accredited by or is a candidate for accreditation by the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation. They are also recognized by the Florida Association of Independent Special Education Facilities.
