An 18-year-old senior at Lewisville High School was named the best photographer among all competitors in The Dallas Morning News High School Journalism Day and Competition. Ashley Allen also won first place in two other categories.

The Collins Catholic School 8th Grade Boys team completed an undefeated season Saturday with a convincing 33-17 win over St. Mark in Dallas Parochial League Varsity play.Finishing at 8-0 and atop the Western Division, Collins Catholic will enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed and will host St. Rita of Dallas at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Catholic Gym on Highway 22.

BULLARD - The Brook Hill Guard utilized strong halftime adjustments and came out smoking for a third quarter track meet that lead to defeat Beaumont Legacy Christian Academy, 54-42, at Herrington Gymnasium on Tuesday in the area round of the TAPPS Class 3A basketball playoffs.

PLANO - The Brook Hill basketball team is joining in to do their share in a banner sports year at the Bullard private school, earning a TAPPS Final Four bid in Mansfield this weekend.
