Children in the primary class are not expected to have a background in Montessori, but the upper levels of the primary class and those in the elementary class must have either a Montessori background or a demonstrated ability for the child to operate successfully in the atmosphere of a Montessori classroom. Children are accepted as students without regard to race, religion, sex or national origin. All teachers are AMI-certified (Association Montessori International), and the school submits to periodic inspections to maintain its AMI affiliation.
