Casa Del Bambini school opened in 1974 and operates under a chartered, non-profit corporation. Its purpose is the education of children, and tuition will be kept as low as possible without sacrificing the quality of education offered. Children in the primary class are not expected to have a background in Montessori, but the upper levels of the primary class and those in the elementary class must have either a Montessori background or a demonstrated ability for the child to operate successfully in the atmosphere of a Montessori classroom. Children are accepted as students without regard to race, religion, sex or national origin. All teachers are AMI-certified (Association Montessori International), and the school submits to periodic inspections to maintain its AMI affiliation.
