School Notes Overview: |
Established in 1959, the Sacramento Waldorf School offers programs from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Waldorf schools flourish throughout the world. Elegant in its simplicity, the Waldorf philosophy educates the whole child by stimulating the mind; schooling the hands; engaging the heart with a sense of caring and responsibility; encouraging respect for humanity and a reverence for nature; fostering an enduring love of learning; and creating a close community of students, teachers, and parents. Focused on each studentıs developmental needs and capacities, the Waldorf concept integrates the arts, music, movement, crafts, and drama with the disciplines of science, humanities, math, and technology. Skilled teachers fire imagination and enthusiasm by bringing subjects to life through spirited, artistic presentations. ...read more
