School Notes Overview:

The Sacramento Waldorf School is a private pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade school that has been educating children in the greater Sacramento area for nearly fifty years. Its mission is to prepare young people to fulfill their highest potential by educating them according to the pedagogical and spiritual principles of Rudolf Steiner. From a gentle beginning in the Kindergarten and Lower School to a rigorous yet cooperative learning environment in the High School, a Sacramento Waldorf School education is a gift that prepares children and young people to embrace life - both its delights and challenges. We nurture our students' unquenchable thirst for knowledge, honor their individuality and passion, and develop within them a sense of community and belonging that is unparalleled in any other educational setting. SWS graduates have gone on to excel in universities such as Stanford, Rhode Island School of Design, UC Berkeley, Brown, Grinnell College, Columbia, US Air Force Academy and NYU and have become physicians, documentary film makers, psychologists, attorneys, designers, choreographers and more. Located on 22 scenic acres overlooking the American River in Fair Oaks, California, our campus provides an idyllic background for all programs, enabling teachers to enrich their classroom studies with access to gardens, a working farm, wooded streams and playing fields. The Sacramento Waldorf School offers developmentally-based education in which the arts permeate the curriculum, and intellectual challenge is infused with human connection and relationship. Come. See what SWS can be for your child, for your family, for your community. ...
