Kingswood-Oxford, an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school, teaches 21st century skills to highly able and motivated students in grades 6-12. Five hundred and five students commute daily to West Hartford, CT from over 50 towns. Students are intellectually challenged by a rigorous curriculum; they discover talents through participation in a wide range of activities; and they experience the world through a host of international opportunities. No, this was not your typical spring break. In March, I accompanied Team Tobati on a 10-day service trip to Paraguay as one of 20 chaperones to more than 100 Connecticut high schoolers.
