School Notes:
- On any given day, our pre-kindergarten students might be exploring math concepts through a multi-sensory approach; third graders in a Responsive Classroom might be writing a daily theme; and the whole Lower School could be meeting in the Smith Cornerstone Room shaking hands in a morning greeting.
- Grades 6 through 8 gather daily for Middle School meeting, to share successes, plan activities, enjoy extracurricular clubs, or work with teachers. They'll be talking about their art, music and humanities electives, and eagerly sharing news on the latest interscholastic sports results.
- On a fall afternoon, when the Upper School spills out onto the practice fields, they do so after a day of AP English, Pre-Calculus, Latin, Spanish, Physics, and/or Ethics. The seniors might have been working with an advisor on their required Senior Speech, the freshmen might still be thinking about what happened in Jazz Ensemble—and the sophomores could still be daydreaming about the four-day ‘schooner classroom’ sailing trip that started the school year.
