Grace Community School opened its doors in 1980 as a Christian education ministry of Grace Community Church. For the past quarter-century, Grace has come alongside families who are committed to offering their children in Kindergarten through ninth grade an academically solid, thoroughly Christian education. Special academic features of Grace Community School’s education include A full day, academic kindergarten. Our kindergarten students learn to read through a phonics-based program. They are reading books by the second semester of the year. Grace Kindergarten students also successfully master cursive writing.In addition to a full school day of academic studies in Language Arts, Mathematics, Bible, Social Studies-History, and Science, each elementary grade enjoys classes in computer lab, music, physical education, and library. Students in grades four through nine may audition for choir and band. The responsibility to provide a Christian education belongs to the home. The church and its Christian School ministry can greatly assist the family in providing this education, but the ultimate responsibility before God for the education of the next generation rests squarely on the parents’ shoulders....
