    By BRANDT MERRITT THE LEDGER Kathleen High School continues to await word from the Florida High School Athletic Association on its appeal of two of the six football games it was ordered to forfeit. Principal Cecil McClellan said Monday he sent the school's letter of appeal to FHSAA Executive Director Roger Dearing on Friday.

The former Republican Congressman from Kansas and Olympic silver medalist will be in Lakeland today and Saturday for two speaking engagements and a 5K race in his honor.
