Westwood Christian School was founded in 1958, as an inseparable ministry of First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake, Inc., an independent Baptist church located in southwest Miami. The co-education program of the school includes preschool through high school. Westwood Christian School offer a strong academic foundation in a Christian setting. Excellent teachers, carefully chosen curriculum materials, and high expectations for the students combine to provide an outstanding educational experience. Throughout the elementary years, a robust curriculum of language arts and mathematics is emphasized. The content areas of science and social studies enrich the child's knowledge of the world around him. Special classes in art, music, physical education, computer technology, library, and Spanish enhance the fundamental curriculum.
