Notes for Prospective Students

Welcome to Alta Vista Montessori School! We are excited to begin this process and look forward to getting to know you and your family. We have open enrollment, so students can be accepted at any time during the year when space is available. Below are the steps we will follow during the admission process. 1. Schedule a Visit - At this first visit, you will tour the school facility, observe in our classrooms and meet with the Head of School or Program Director (plan for 45/60 minutes; it is recommended that both parents come together). At the end of your visit you will receive an enrollment packet. 2. Submit Application 3. Registration Forms Sent by Mail 4. Schedule New Family Orientation Meetings These meetings take place at school and they are with both the head of school and teacher. 5: Phase-In Period Begins This is a gradual starting schedule to help the child and family to slowly adjust to the new school. A typical Phase-In schedule is as follows: First Day: 9 to 10 Second Day: 9 to 11 Third Day: 9 to 12 Fourth Day: Regular Schedule Non-Discrimination Policy Alta Vista Montessori School has no religious affiliation and welcomes students of every race, sex, color and national or ethnic origin.
