- Families who need flexible attendance for travel and family obligations. Capstone: An Acton Academy operates on an 10-month calendar with 5-6 week sessions and breaks in between.
- Parents who want the benefits of child-directed learning often associated with homeschooling, combined with the peer collaboration found in a traditional, mixed-age classroom.
