Notes for Prospective Students

Each applicant for grades K-12 is encouraged to visit our school. We endeavor to select students who exhibit Christian qualities, as well as selecting students who demonstrate an enthusiasm for the learning process. Students applying for PK, K, and 1st grade must meet the following age requirement by September 1 of the school year they attend: PK = 4 years Kndergarten = 5 years 1st Grade = 6 years In keeping with McKinney Christian Academy's mission of offering Christian families and their children a college preparatory curriculum within a Christian community committed to integrating biblical faith and learning, the MCA admissions process takes into account the following: Families who are growing in their personal Christian walk and are active members and involved in their local church. McKinney Christian Academy requires that at least one parent be a Christian. Students whose academic records demonstrate proven capability to succeed in our program. Therefore, students' records will be carefully evaluated prior to acceptance. MCA requires that students score at grade level or above on the admissions test. Students whose behavioral, social, and emotional histories are in harmony with the expectations of McKinney Christian Academy. International students are also welcome! Students are granted I-20 status once accepted and reside with host families in the McKinney area after receiving their F-1 visas. Click here to review Admissions policies.
