Lutheran Elementary School of Bay Ridge (LES), has been a place of education, enlightenment, respect, caring and concern since its founding by Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1957.
We offer a high quality education to a multi-religious school population in a nurturing, yet challenging environment.
Classes are for children from nursery through 8th grade. Our tradition of academic excellence is virtually unmatched.
From a student's earliest years we engage in challenging academic inquiry and the search for guiding Christian values.
At a time when instilling strong moral and ethical values is increasingly important, our commitment to Christian education makes LES unique among schools.
Equally important are developing strong personal character, self-esteem, leadership, self-discipline, respect for others, social responsibility and community service, tolerance, and an appreciation for all that God provides.
