MileStone Academy meets the individualized social and academic needs of high school students who have struggled in large conventional classes. We support students with diverse learning styles by fostering a nurturing and positive environment.
Our atmosphere is inclusive, calm and diverse. We work with each student and their families to help identify the student`s strengths and challenges.
Our teachers are trained to individualize according to each students strengths and weaknesses within the classroom
Our mission is to provide extraordinary educational opportunities to children with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia (reading), dysgraphia (writing), and dyscalculia (math), utilizing research based intervention strategies and an arts-based learning environment that is college preparatory in scope and sequence and to develop a center for educational excellence and professional development to disseminate best practices to educators by providing access to the latest research-based curriculum, technology, and training.
