Montessori Academy Of Glen Ellyn was founded in 1961 and was the first Montessori school in DuPage County.
The school has grown from one class for 3-6 year old to a Montessori community serving families with Toddlers, Pre-Primary, Extended Day, Full Day and Elementary programs through sixth grade.
Dr. Maria Montessori believed that a truly educated individual continues learning long after formal education because this person is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge.
She felt that the goal of education should not be to fill the child with facts, but rather to cultivate the childs own natural desire to learn.
Diamante Montessori School's mission is to hire the best teachers and treat them exceptionally well, Provide a healthy, clean environment in which the teachers and children are happy and can grow, Communicate, educate and gain involvment of parents.
