God’s Word permeates the curriculum Our Staff The staff at Zion Lutheran works diligently to provide for the mental, spiritual and emotional growth of every student. Parents and teachers communicate with each other on a regular basis, strengthening the home-school partnership. Academics Zion is a close-knit, small school. This is great for education! Our student to teacher ratio for the 2012-2013 school year will be 14 to 1. There is plenty of opportunity for individualized instruction and assistance. Zion has an Extended Learning Program to assist students that require additional support from the regular classroom. Zion consistently performs above state and national averages in reading, science, and math. This means that our students consistently make smooth academic transitions into high school. Technology is rapidly reshaping the world’s workforce! Children need to develop technological skills to be productive citizens in our country. Technology is a strong focus at Zion. Our goal is to make sure our students are competent and responsible consumers of technology. Students in grades 3-8 use computers almost everyday for a variety of assignments including typing, word processing, data collecting, visual presentations, and collaboration.
