Overview
At St. Joseph High School, we help young men and women make the most of their high school experience. So much more than typical college prep, St. Joes prepares students to meet the challenges of the collegiate world and beyond through an experiential education that starts with aspirational academics and grows between the textbooks and the classrooms; between students and faculty mentors; between the locker room and the field; between faith, friendships, and family.
As the largest, co-ed, Catholic College Preparatory School in Connecticut... St. Joes gives all students the opportunity to learn and connect across cultures, religions, and borders in a faith-based community that joyfully welcomes all students, regardless of spiritual beliefs.
That's why we say St. Joes Cadets are on a mission for more: to be their best selves and to make their mark on our world.
Seek out your talents. Strive for greatness. Serve the common good. Thrive with confidence. When you choose a St. Joes education, you decide to make the most of your high school years: to try new things; to challenge your skills and expand your thinking; to never settle for the status quo; to devote your time and gifts to helping those in need; and to build an ethical foundation for your future success. We're ready to help you start your St. Joes journey. Contact our admissions team to visit our campus, learn about our personalized tours, or Student Visit Days-and discover why nearly 750 students select St. Joes to launch them from high school to higher education.
St. James School offers a variety of educational programs combined with Catholic doctrine and values.
Our program begins with a flexible pre-school programs and extends to the middle school block-schedule format.
Curriculum is enhanced with religious education, physical education, music, art, computer, and Spanish All combine to provide a solid value based educational program.
St. James School, a Catholic, Christian community, sees its primary focus of education to be holistic in nature.
In addition to its promotion of academic excellence, we at St. James believe in the power of Catholic education to transform the lives of its students, and in its ability to empower those students to be ever present signs in our world today that God is truly with us, as we strive to integrate the spiritual with the academic, social and emotional well-being of each student.
First and foremost in our goals is the development and nurturance of each child's gift of faith.
Through meaningful celebrations of the sacraments, and a conscious effort at inculcating the principles of our Catholic faith, we encourage our students to choose wisely in their dealings with themselves and others, and to share willingly their beliefs both in and out of the school environment, and to believe strongly in the power of prayer, a constant thread woven throughout the entire school day.
