Shrewsbury Montessori School

Shrewsbury Montessori School is a not for profit school serving the needs of children ages 3 years (by 8/31)to 12 years (pre-school through grade 6). Our goal is to provide a warm, non-competitive environment in which each child is accorded the respect and freedom necessary to realize and develop his or her unique personality and potential. The school's philosophy and teaching method is based on the work of Maria Montessori. All classes are made up of children of mixed ages and abilities who are encouraged to work, play, and learn together at their own pace. A calm and supportive atmosphere helps to build confidence and encourages each student to become an independent, creative, self-disciplined, caring, and academically capable member of society.
