The Waring School is a liberal arts school for students in middle and high school (grades 6-12).
Our mission is to create and sustain a community of lifelong learners who are working together for the individual and the common good.
We assume that most learning in a lifetime takes place outside of school and that one of the purposes of school is to prepare an individual to learn on his or her own. We do not, consequently, think of school as an end in itself but as part of the continuum of a life-long process perpetually at work in each learner.

School Reviews

We are thrilled with the academics and community that Waring offers. It's an eclectic school where kids can feel free to be who they are and make friends with anyone and everyone. Our daughter previously shy and timid daughter has transformed into a confident, social butterfly thanks to this school. With the trips to France, nature hikes, piano breaks, and humanities lectures, this school is turning out fantastic, well-rounded kids who can actually interact with others. Bravo, Waring.
