Teachers are dedicated professionals who inspire and nurture their students to be all they were made to be. They act as a living curriculum - to challenge and encourage, and foster a joy in learning for all students.
WCS offers competitive MIAA athletics teams at the varsity and sub-varsity levels. Many of our teams and individuals qualify for District competition, and several athletes and some teams qualify for State competition each academic year.
Our high school Drama program involves approximately 25% of our high school population through acting, lighting, audio, set production, music, and stage management. Two major productions are staged each academic year.
The highly successful Robotics Club provides real-world, hands-on learning opportunities for our Robotics team members. The off-campus Robotics lab provides a tremendous venue to learn construction, programing, and testing of robots. Participating in several competitions per year through the FIRST program helps team members hone their talents and develop critical thinking and creative collaboration skills.
Creativity and inspiration come together in our 90+ member Preschool-grade 12 strings program, which consistently produces Central District and All State musicians. There are many also opportunities for vocal and instrumental instruction and performance through band, choir, and additional ensembles.
