As as college preparatory day school in southern New Hampshire, Derryfield offers a superior educational environment to families from 40 communities while allowing students to live at home. The Middle School program emphasizes process, organization, writing, and study skills. A strong core curriculum in grades nine and ten varies to include more electives, honors, and A.P. courses in all departments to meet the interests and strengths of juniors and seniors. All students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities and community service. Broad access to athletics and the arts is assured by 32 teams in 13 sports, four theater productions annually, four musical ensembles, and art classes in several media.
