We were pleased to receive an email, along with a graduation photo, from reader Bill Smith, a former resident of our neighborhood who is an alumnus of P.S. 93 (now I.S. 93) in Ridgewood.

The city Health Department has confirmed five more swine-flu cases, increasing the total in New York City to 49, the agency's commissioner said Wednesday.
