The Frostig School was founded in 1951 and is the oldest school for children with learning disabilities in Sourthern California.  The school offers a full range of academic and support services, which are targeted to children with learning disabilities (such as dyslexia and nonverbal learning difficulties), Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.  It has WASC accreditation and all completed courses, credits and high school diplomas are recognized by the California Department of Education.  All teachers are credentialed in special education with on-going professional development and/or training for all school staff.  There is a low student to teacher ratio (6:1).  The Frostig School primarily serves Los Angeles County and offers student transportation.
