School Reviews

children. My children have been excepted. The school uses Abeka curriculum which is a solid Christian College Prep curriculum. The staff members go above and beyond, what is called for to help the students. So teachers offer help class and or tutoring. All of the SAT tests which my children have taken since attending TBTA they have scored in the top rankings for there grades. The school has a low tuition as part of a ministry to the families. Because, of the low tuition the school is not able to offer all the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive private schools can offer. It is true not all teachers have a degree, but they all have a heart for teaching. Several of the teachers have degrees, or the credits needed to have earned a degree. In addition, the school is Accredited and the teachers have earned a certificate through the accreditation program. On top of it this summer the staff completed Abeka Curriculum training at Pensacola Christian College. As far as extra costs over and above tuition. The enrollment fee not only cover text books it also covers the first set of standard school supplies. This is the first school I have ever heard of that offers school supplies as part of the enrollment fee. If your child plays sports there is a fee (for league fees, uniforms, equipment, and gas money to get to away games). The school requires participation in one major fundraiser. And also requires parents to donate or volunteer time for various school activities. However, you may opt. Out of these things for a fee... Like all other private schools I have attended or my children have attended, they have several optional fundraisers for example $3 dress down days. Like all schools of course they ask for donations for class parties and some field trips have a fee etc. If you are looking for a school who cares about the spiritual growth and wellbeing of your child, has low student to teacher ratios, a good solid curriculm, and a low tuition. Please prayerfully consider TBTA for your student.

I have only good things to say about Trinity Baptist Temple Academy. My daughters were been home schooled for three years prior to attending TBTA. I had always known about this school since I lived in the area, however, I never considered it because I didn''t know much about it. When I decided to enroll the girls in a private school, this school was recommended to me from a friend. I called the school and scheduled a meeting with the Assistant Principal, Gregg Jones. It was his display of love for the students, the faculty and love for Christ that won me over. The affordable price was, in fact, a benefit. I immediately enrolled the girls for the following year. The transition has been easy. Because I was fairly new to home schooling and my daughters were in higher grades, I was a little concerned as to where they stood in comparison to other kids who had been attending private schools. My burden was eased because the teachers worked with my daughters on subjects they were slightly behind in by tutoring them after school. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the school and only wish I would''ve found it sooner.
