Gig Harbor Academy

6820 32nd St NW, Gig Harbor, WA, 98335-0983
GHA takes advantage of the natural questions that arise in a child’s expanding life experiences and turns that curiosity into educational opportunities. GHA has created a unique culture where educational professionals and parents collaborate to ensure academic rigor and social success. Teachers know each child’s strengths and tailor the curriculum so achievements can be measured in individual growth, allowing children to get lost in learning…not in the crowd. All of this takes place on a ten-acre campus, bordered by wetlands, where children are engaged in environmental awareness, stewardship, and natural observations.

School Reviews:

  • Recommended October 06,2012 - All four of my children have attended GHA. My 5th grade son will be the last. SInce 2005 we have been impressed by the superb quality of the teachers - GHA''s primary strength. The setting is a nature oasis; a great spot to learn, study, and yes play. The specialist classes are icing on the cake for learning and exposure. My 3 children who are graduates - VERY WELL prepared for the next phase of education and public or private school.*-Posted by Parent *
  • Recommended May 21,2012 - We enrolled our 2nd grade granddaughter in GHA in Jan. It has been a wonderful experience and a great "fit" for our needs....small class size, caring community, access to technology, robotics, nature experiences, just to mention a few of strengths of GHA.*-Posted by Parent *

Here are a dozen or so girls' schools' public thoughts about themselves and their missions.

Make Summer a Special Time! Make Summer a Special Time!
If you have children in private school, then you are most likely looking at three months, perhaps even longer, which you must fill with activities of one kind or another during the long summer break.

Are You Liable? Are You Liable?
Is your DEL key about to get gaveled? It doesn't matter whether you teach in a public or private school setting. You expose yourself to legal risks every single day on the job.
