- Core course in humanities, some math-science, and arts taught in integrated pairings (literature and history; biology and algebra; visual and performing arts.)
- International travel each year, open to all students-including those receiving financial aid.Past trips have included China, Thailand, Costa Rica, Honduras, Japan, France, Nicaragua, the Czech Republic, Russia and Mexico.
- Apple MacBook wireless laptop computers for every student loaded with software to use in graphing, calculations, presentations and editing and SmartBoard technology in all classrooms.
- SA fields a boys and girls team in soccer, basketball, lacrosse, cross-country and track and a girls volleyball team.
- A community where respect, openness and trust allow students and adults to be themselves without judgment. This makes it safe for students to take risks, try new things and expand their potential.
- A full arts program with electives in visual arts, theater, and music.

It was a good weekend for the Calistoga High boys soccer team. Senior Angel Guzman kicked his way into the record books in the Wildcats’ 13-1 drubbing over the Tomales Braves on Saturday, and then Calistoga learned Sunday that it had earned its eighth consecutive postseason berth.
