Country Montessori School Requirements1. Age & Program
RequirementsEarly Childhood (Preschool-Kindergarten): Children must
be at least 2.5 years old and fully potty trained before
enrollment.Lower Elementary (Grades 13): Completion of an Early
Childhood or Kindergarten program, with readiness for a Montessori
elementary environment.Upper Elementary (Grades 45): Successful
completion of a lower elementary program and demonstration of
independence, focus, and academic readiness.2. Potty Training
RequirementStudents entering the Early Childhood program must be
fully independent in the bathroom (no pull-ups or training
pants).Families are expected to continue supporting restroom
independence at home to ensure consistency.3. Application &
Enrollment ProcessApplication Form: Parents must submit an online
or paper application along with an application fee.School Tour /
Parent Interview: Families are required to attend a school tour to
understand Montessori philosophy and the CMS approach.Student Visit
/ Assessment:Early Childhood applicants may participate in a school
visit to assess readiness.Elementary applicants typically complete
an academic and social readiness assessment.Admissions Review: The
admissions team carefully considers whether the Montessori
environment is the right fit for each child.Enrollment Packet: Upon
acceptance, families complete an enrollment agreement, health
forms, and other state-required documents.4. Health &
DocumentationUp-to-date immunization records as required by
California law.Completed medical forms and emergency contact
information.For transfer students: school records and teacher
recommendations may be requested.5. Family CommitmentSupport for
the Montessori philosophy at home and in partnership with the
school.Active participation in parent-teacher conferences and
community events encouraged.Adherence to school policies regarding
attendance, and respectful behavior.
