Overview
We have a total of 125 years combined experience here at the Kohler Place center.
Having a team of dedicated teachers that have been here 20+ years speaks volumes about their level of commitment and engagement in the children and families we serve! Our teachers believe this is what learning looks like'¦ Each classroom is alive with education! Each activity in the classrooms is intended to help your child explore, share and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our child-directed learning centers are spaces within the classroom where your child can choose his or her own learning experiences.
Our 6 areas of focus are: Communication with others, Building brain power, Developing lasting life skills, Growing a healthy body, Making new friends, and Nurturing creativity.
The Learning Center offers early childhood education to children six weeks through Kindergarten as well as before/after school and summer programs for grades 1 through 5.
We know you will be pleased with our balance of school readiness activities that will prepare your child for future learning along with a balance of faith-based teachings.
The sole purpose of TLC is to provide the community with a faith-based learning center committed to building self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment in children.
We will provide an atmosphere and environment of encouragement, positive reinforcement, praise and spiritual enrichment that will develop a happy, healthy life for young children.
Since facts are the seeds that later produce wisdom and knowledge and since emotion and the impression of the senses are the fertile soil in which seeds must grow, the early years are the time to prepare the seeds and develop the soil.
We understand a peaceful and happy place for children to learn is created through a caring, positive and affirming atmosphere.
As we bridge the gap from home to school, we guide children to a continued positive self-image while building social skills in a group setting.
