Overview
The Rudolf Steiner School, the first Waldorf school in North America, is a vibrant community of students, parents, faculty, and staff.
With a history spanning more than nine decades, our approach to education is vital to life, work, and creativity in the 21st century because we remain dedicated to an enduring goal: to inspire our children to be students, thinkers, and creators.
We serve children from age 2 in our Parent Child Program through 12th Grade.
An independent, Nursery through Grade 12 coeducational day school, Trevor Day School educates college-bound students to achieve academic and personal excellence in an inquiry-driven, idea-rich community. Trevor celebrates diversity of thought, experiences, and culture; promotes compassion, collaboration, courage, and creativity; and develops in children a recognition of their own unique potential as lifelong learners and leaders who act as responsible global citizens.
Trevor enrolls more than 700 students in a coeducational setting on two campuses on the Upper East Side and Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Trevor`s rigorous college preparatory curriculum is designed to confer academic mastery while students develop the self-confidence, original perspective, courage, and perseverance to thrive in any idea-rich arena.
Perceptive, quick-thinking, devoted teachers, highly collaborative team-building spaces, an inviting, inclusive, and grounded family culture, and daily opportunities for interpersonal and intellectual interaction transform Trevor students into proactive agents of their own learning.
