Overview
South Peninsula Hebrew Day School provides a rigorous Jewish and general studies education and encourages our children to grow in the learning of Torah, and to identify with the Jewish people and with the State of Israel.
We are affiliated with Torah Umesorah, the National Society for Jewish Day Schools.
Our school features teachers bringing knowledge and experience into the classroom; Judaic studies shaping our children's future; Hebrew as the vital Jewish language; academic excellence in general studies today to allow students to meet the challenges of tomorrow; parents and teachers working together for our children's education; a diverse and open community enabling a unique and memorable student experience and recognizing students as individuals to facilitate learning.
Oakland Hebrew Day School is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school providing excellence in Jewish education to the entire Jewish community.
Our focus is on the needs of the whole child, fostering a love of learning and a strong sense of Jewish identity.
We place equal emphasis on Judaic and general studies, helping our students develop a solid academic foundation in each.
We also recognize the significance of the State of Israel and its people, as well as a sense of responsibility for their welfare.
As we educate our students to be knowledgeable and proud of who they are and where they came from, we inspire them to engage in a great world that enriches their intellectual and spiritual identities.
