- At Odyssey Day School we believe all children need and deserve a safe, nurturing and stimulating educational environment where developmental needs, personal interests and talents, and individual learning styles are addressed. Our small classes, high ratio of teachers to students, flexible student groupings and differentiated approach to curriculum planning, provide the personalized attention children need in order to experience success and develop a joy for learning. Together, the members of the school community embark on an educational odyssey which sets the stage for children to become independent thinkers able to meet intellectual challenges with curiosity and confidence. The dynamic, theme-based integrated curriculum is the basis of a highly motivating and challenging educational program that includes a strong academic foundation complemented by experiences in the arts, technology and athletics. We promote a strong sense of community to help children learn to be responsible for themselves and respectful of others. Diversity within our school community is appreciated, as it enriches all members of the community. Because it is crucial to the successful school experience, open communication between families, staff and students is valued and encouraged.
