Proctor is competitive in the Lakes Region Association of schools, but also plays schools from across New England.
The Proctor community comes together for assembly three times per week. Anyone and everyone may speak openly. Skits, musical performances and slideshows are common. Each fall term, 22 students sail a 130-foot schooner from Massachusetts to Puerto Rico, earning full academic credit. Other students study at Proctor in Spain, Costa Rica, European Art Classroom and the desert Southwest of the United States. Experiential education rules!

Proctor's 360 students come from 30 states and 16 countries.
Proctor students live in 20 small dormitories, averaging 12 students apiece. They are more like private homes than traditional dorms. This residence, Peabody House, has air pre-cooled and pre-heated by six 500-foot geothermic wells. Eco-dorm is a theme dorm that attracts leaders in environmental issues.
Proctor operates its own private ski area, with lighting and snow making from top to bottom. We host prep school, collegiate and USSA/FIS races!
