Big Apple Academy
School Notes Overview:
The Big Apple Academy is an independent, coeducational academic institution for students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. The Big Apple Academy is well known for its enduring tradition of providing academic excellence in a multicultural community with a very diverse population. The Academy's ultimate goals begin with academics by enriching the lives of students and extend to services provided for continued development and enhancement of our community. The Big Apple Academy strives to create an informal learning environment where students develop their character, mind, and body. The greatest asset of our institution is the close-knit relationships between faculty and students. It is our firm belief that from this relationship, students sharpen their most essential skill sets: thinking critically and analyzing, exploring and practicing through a broad array of human thoughts and accomplishments extending to the humanities, mathematics, the sciences, the arts, and athletics. The Academy believes that all students well prepared for the future must be inquisitive and self-reliant with the ability to acquire knowledge independently by exercising sound judgment. Through the intrinsic relationship between the school and the home, the Academy gives the students a sense of the future in the direction toward academic success....
