    City Councilor Timothy Toomey wants to find out from the city solicitor whether or not the city is obligated to list legal notices in the Cambridge Chronicle , and can instead just list public notices on the city’s Web site. The listings allegedly cost the city $125,000 per year. Gov. Deval Patrick reportedly signed a law in July ending many legal advertising requirements in newspapers.
