The Mt. Lebanon Montessori School, Inc. is dedicated to the total development of the child.
Each child is looked upon as a unique individual, capable of developing self-discipline, independence, and a love and respect for self, others, and all of creation.
We strive to help each child develop a real love for learning and a positive attitude toward a lifetime of education.
We strongly believe in the effectiveness of the total family interest in the program.
Founded in 1991, Montessori Children's Schoolhouse is a community for children 2 to 6 years where children, parents, and guides (teachers) feel connected to one another creating a foundation that allows us to support children as they develop into resilient, focused and empathic adults who are prepared to lead impactful lives.
MCSH's goal has always been to provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment based on the tenants of Dr. Maria Montessori.
Our objective is to help children develop within themselves the fundamental habits, attitudes, skills, and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking.
