Overview
Phoenix School is a special purpose school in Douglas County, Oregon, established in 1981 to serve at-risk youth who wish to continue their education but are unable to succeed in the public school system.
Phoenix School relies on public donations, grants, and some public education funds for its support.
We have the capacity to serve two hundred students per term.
The entire student population qualifies for the National School Lunch Program.
The student population reflects twice the level of community diversity.
Canyonville Academy was founded in 1924 and has been the choice of school for thousands of students from all over the world. Because enrollment is kept to below 150 students, Canyonville Academy feels like a home away from home where students and faculty interact in a daily basis. With a 12:1 student teacher ratio, several AP classes and lots of fun activities on our 14 acre campus, Canyonville Academy is a place where you can reach your potential.
In 2014 and 2015, the Academy won the national competition 2 times in a row for the SIFMA Capitol Hill Challenge "The Stock Market Game" amongst high schools across America.
