New Middle School applicants currently in grades 5 through 7 are invited to come for an abbreviated school day to experience WSA’s middle school schedule of classes. <br> <br>Participants will be grouped into a “class” and follow a schedule of shortened classes in: Science, Math, Humanities, Art, P.E., and Fun! Parents also attend an informational meeting from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Refreshments are provided to students. <br> <br>To register, participants submit an application and Scholarship Day registration form, available at www.westsoundacademy.org. All participants with a complete application are eligible for a Merit Scholarship award in an amount ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 applied each year of enrollment as long as academic standards are maintained. Please register by December 4, 2013. <br>

West Sound Academy's Frodel Gallery presents 'Into the Light', a selection of metal print photography by Bainbridge artist Dinah Satterwhite, on exhibit through the month of March. The show is a collection of abstract images showing light, movement, and intense color, printed onto specially treated sheets of aluminum. The school hosts a gallery reception for Satterwhite on Friday, March 14th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The public is invited, and guests will be able to enjoy light refreshments and wine. <br>

Andrews uses constructs and symbols from various approaches to learning to create art that can be appreciated by a diverse audience.
