Overview
Located on the Upper East Side, The Birch Wathen Lenox School is a coeducational, college-preparatory independent school serving 375 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Our one-building model fosters a close-knit, intentional community where Upper School students are deeply known and supported as they grow into independent, self-driven young adults.
In Grades 912, students engage in a rigorous and balanced academic program that emphasizes intellectual exploration, personal voice, and leadership.
Small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and a culture of trust create space for students to challenge themselves, pursue meaningful interests, and prepare with confidence for college-and life beyond it.
Established in 1764 and located in New York City, CGPS is the oldest nonsectarian independent school in the United States and a leader in student-centered learning, educating children in Pre-K through 12th grade.
CGPS nurtures each student's unique passions and talents inside and outside the classroom, unifying and inspiring members of its community in a rigorous but relaxed learning environment, preparing them for the finest colleges and instilling in them the confidence, ethical values and sense of purpose to embrace challenges, to achieve their dreams and to improve the world.
