School Notes

  • "One way that Trinity Lutheran Church accomplishes its mission is through the Christian Day School. Our teachers at Trinity Lutheran School share the Gospel of Christ every day while teaching elementary subjects for two-year-olds through eighth graders. The school is fully accredited by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the Northern Illinois District, and fully recognized by the State of Illinois. In addition to a complete elementary course of study, extracurricular activities in speech, instrumental music, engineering, and athletics are offered. Students include members of Trinity Lutheran Church as well as members of other Lutheran and non-Lutheran churches, and represent more than twenty different cultures. Students and families of all faiths are welcome! Families live in several different neighboring communities: Lemont, Darien, Woodridge, LaGrange, Hickory Hills, Justice, Palos area, Homer Glen, and more. Trinity Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights and privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions, scholarship, athletic, and other school-administered programs. Trinity does an excellent job of teaching children in the secular subjects, its' students meet or exceed the local school district`s achievement test scores and score well above the national average. When choosing a school for your children, one should consider the entire program including, but not limited to: the school`s purpose, facilities, dedication of its teachers, and the focus of instruction."  Visit our facebook page at:  www.facebook.com/mytrinitylutheranschool.

Every day my little boy comes home and tells me he's never leaving 3rd grade. He's learning to read music, speak Spanish, and play basketball. He is also on the high-honor roll. The faculty is dedicated and responsive when I have concerns and he receives one-on-one attention on a daily basis. I know we made the right choice with Trinity.

I recommend Trinity Lutheran School for parents who are looking for a quality, Christian education for their children. Our children have been at Trinity for the past two years, and we are very happy with the caring teachers, the small class sizes, and the Spanish, music, art and athletic programs.
