The University of Delaware Lab School was founded in 1934 as a part of the Child Development Program in the College of Home Economics and has been in continuous operation.
It is designed as a laboratory for Early Childhood Education students and as a research site for students and faculty at the University of Delaware.
Whole-child, play-based, nature-based education and mindfulness are examples of approaches used in our programs.
