I am a 76-year-old woman who graduated in 1953 from St. Mary's High School, as the Salutatorian of our class of 9 students -- and have appreciated all my life from the nuns who taught me for those 12 years. The Catholic values and value-based education have guided my life; and I tried very hard to instill the same in my five wonderful children. After my mother died when I was 11 (my father had died when I was 2), the dear Sisters of Divine Providence became, literally, my mother surrogates. I communicated w/Sister Macaria and Sister Christiana until they died - how I loved them! My mother had cleaned the convent and cooked some for the nuns to pay for my other sister, GeorgAnna, to attend St. Mary's. We surely could not afford to go now! I highly recommend St. Mary's to future students, and hope and pray what they gain from their experiences from that education will guide them and their families forever. God Bless All of Them, and my beloved classmates of those wonderful years up to 1953. By the way, I became a published writer. FMG
