The Fall 2017 Open House for Stanbridge Academy will be held on the morning of Tuesday, October 24. Stanbridge is a caring, inclusive K-12 school in San Mateo for students with mild to moderate learning differences and social communication disorders. Many, if not most, of our students struggle with multiple challenges, including students diagnosed on the autism spectrum. We have found that this balance encourages students to benefit from their classmates' strengths and to respect their differences. Stanbridge uses an individualized, whole student approach so that students thrive and develop their academic, social, executive function, and emotional capabilities to their fullest potential. Stanbridge Academy accepts applications for new students throughout the school year and offers a commute shuttle for students living in San Francisco, as well as those in the San Jose area. The Stanbridge Academy Fall Open House will be held on Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. This event will feature presentations from key staff and faculty members; Q&A with teachers from each grade division as well as our Head of School, parent, and student representatives; and guided tours of the campus and classrooms. This is a fantastic way to learn about the Stanbridge program and have your specific questions answered by our staff. Maybe you've seen the photos and heard the stories about our experiential trips. Perhaps you have questions about how Stanbridge's junior high program prepares students for high school. Or maybe you are simply curious to hear about our program firsthand from parents who currently have students enrolled to see if Stanbridge is the right fit for your child.Whatever the reason you may want to learn more about Stanbridge Academy, our May 16th K8 group tour is an ideal opportunity to have your questions answered by our parents, teachers, and administrators in a low-key, casual setting. Join us on Thursday, May 16 and see Stanbridge's elementary and junior high divisions through small group tours that are led by members of our staff and parent body.The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a chance to meet and mingle with current Stanbridge parents, our Head of School, and other administrators. The reception will be followed by a guided campus tour, giving you the chance to see our students and teachers in action. You will then have an opportunity to talk further with parents, our counselors, and administrative team for follow up Q&A.
