Learn about The Polytech and how we grant advance access to college level training programs in healthcare, business & IT, education, engineering, and manufacturing to high school juniors and seniors. All classes can become part of a high school diploma, and we can also issue our own high school credits using a one-on-one and small group instruction format that allows us to customize instruction for individual student needs. Tutoring is available in all academic subjects as well as executive function skills such as organization, time management, breaking down large assignments into manageable pieces, and studying for tests in addition to completing written assignments. Come visit us on Sunday, Sept 8th, during our open house from 10-2 AND also mine for a sapphire across the parking lot at Greenlake Jewelry during their fundraiser to support Boys & Girls Clubs. In honor of Small Business Saturday, The Polytech is offering Drop-In Tutoring and an Open House! Come meet our staff and learn about innovative options to earn credits up to and including a high school diploma, get tutoring in a specific academic subject, or take career assessments for personalized information on potential careers and college majors. Participation in the open house and quick academic questions are free. Students who want to stay for drop-in tutorial support may do so at a discounted rate of $65/hr. Come get help to finish that project!

The Polytech invites all interested young adults to join us online to learn effective conversational intelligence skills. Anquida Adams, founder and CEO of A.L.A. Consulting Firm, will facilitate this free workshop that will share tips and teaches strategies for identifying your core values and communicating them to others in a way that gets you heard. You will gain tools and agreater understanding of the values, cultures, character, moral intelligence, and accountability that will help you succeed in becoming more aware of self and how to communicate more effectively your thoughts and feelings with confidence. This program is appropriate for students ages 16-26 who are or will be taking over the responsibility of asking for accommodations (after age 18 your parents can no longer do this for you) and for those who want to learn to set boundaries in all professional and personal relationships. Anquida creates a safe space and will lead a neurodiverse-friendly workshop.

Learn more about the Youth Maritime Career Launch program, a collaboration between The Polytech and The Port of Seattle to train young adults ages 16-24 for maritime careers. The program funds career assessments, skills training including high school diploma and driver's license, hands-on maritime safety classes, and 3-month paid internships.
