Newton Bible Christian School (NBCS) is a Christ-centered private school serving students in Pre-K through 8th grade in Newton, Kansas. Founded in 1973, NBCS exists to partner with families in providing a comprehensive, biblically based education that helps students grow academically, spiritually, socially, and personally.
As a ministry of Newton Bible Church, NBCS seeks to help families raise children who know and love God, understand His Word, and are prepared to serve Christ and others. Our educational philosophy is built upon the belief that the Bible is the foundation for understanding truth and that every area of learning should be viewed through a biblical worldview.
Academics
Newton Bible Christian School is committed to providing a thorough, academically sound education while integrating biblical truth throughout the curriculum. Students are challenged to develop knowledge, critical-thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity, responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning.Our elementary program provides a strong foundation in reading and language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Bible, handwriting, and writing skills. Students also participate in music, physical education, technology, library, art, field trips, and other enrichment opportunities.In junior high, students continue to build upon this foundation through more challenging coursework in Bible, English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Students are encouraged to take greater ownership of their learning while developing the academic skills and maturity necessary for success in high school and beyond.NBCS utilizes curriculum from established Christian publishers, including Bob Jones Press and A Beka Books, with instruction designed to present academic subjects from a biblical worldview.Christian

Faith is not simply one subject at NBCS, it is integrated throughout the entire educational experience. Students participate in Bible instruction, prayer, worship, Scripture memory, chapel, and daily opportunities to learn how biblical principles apply to real-life situations.Our goal is not only to educate students academically, but to help them develop a biblical worldview and a growing understanding of what it means to follow Jesus Christ. We desire for students to become lifelong learners and followers of Christ who are equipped to serve their families, churches, communities, and the world.
Character Development
Character development is an important part of the NBCS experience. Students are taught to demonstrate responsibility, respect, integrity, perseverance, kindness, self-discipline, and a willingness to serve others.We view discipline as an opportunity for instruction, correction, and spiritual growth. Students are encouraged to understand not only what is expected of them, but why biblical principles should guide their attitudes, choices, relationships, and responsibilities.

One of the unique strengths of Newton Bible Christian School is our close-knit school community. Our smaller enrollment allows students to be known personally by their teachers and provides opportunities for meaningful relationships between students, teachers, and families.

Pre-K Program
Our Pre-K program provides a nurturing, Christ-centered introduction to school for children who are ready to begin their educational journey. Students develop early literacy, mathematics, science, fine motor, social, and problem-solving skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Bible lessons, prayer, worship, and character development are incorporated into the Pre-K experience, helping children begin building a strong foundation for both kindergarten and their faith.
Preparing Students for the Future
NBCS is committed to preparing students not only for their next grade level, but for the opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead. Our junior high program combines challenging academics, biblical guidance, leadership development, and meaningful relationships to help students transition successfully into high school.
